Invitation & password
Your administrator sends the invitation. Open its setup link, choose your password, and confirm it. Your administrator does not see the password you choose.
If the invitation link has expired, ask your administrator for a fresh one.
Install the extension
The extension link is available on the setup page. MDS Pro is not limited to Google Chrome; use whichever supported browser you have installed. If that browser offers a pin or toolbar option, keep MDS Pro there so the clock stays one click away.

Sign in with your work email and the password you just created. You normally stay signed in, so this is not a daily step.
Closing the panel does not stop a running task because official time is kept by the server. If you forget the password, use the reset option on the sign-in screen.
Before your first day
You may get access before your official start date. You can sign in and look around, but Start a task remains unavailable until that date and turns on automatically when the day arrives.
If MDS Pro shows a different start date from the one you were given, contact your administrator before logging work.
II
Act II
Your working day
While you are still in training
Choose Training for every task you log, even when you are
practicing MDS, QM, or another production activity. Training often lasts
two to three weeks, but your administrator will tell you when to switch
to the regular production task types.
Start the work you are actually doing
Choose Start a task, select the kind of work, choose a facility or case when that task asks for one, and add the useful task notes your facility needs. Press Start working when the details are correct.
Each task becomes its own line in your timesheet. Start a new one whenever the work itself changes.
Finish tasks; gaps are breaks
Finish the current task when that work ends. There is no separate break button and no special end-of-day button. The gap between a finished task and the next task you start is treated as break time.
Server-stamped time
Start and finish times come from the MDS Pro server, not from your computer clock. Closing the extension panel does not change a task that is already running.
If a task is left running
If a task stays open with no activity for two hours, MDS Pro closes it back to the last active point and flags the record for review. A forgotten tab therefore does not silently create hours of work.
Task notes
Keep notes useful for the facility, but keep patient names and health details out of them. A short work label is enough.
III
Act III
When something goes wrong
Use Requests when the official record needs an explanation or reviewed correction. An administrator reviews the request before it changes the record, and an approved correction keeps the original entry visible beside the correction so the audit trail shows what changed and who approved it.
Request a fix
Use this when the task already exists but a detail is wrong. Choose the work date and recorded task, enter the correct case, facility, time, or other requested detail, and explain what happened. The existing task stays in place while the request is pending.
Add a task
Use this when you did the work but never clocked it at all. Enter the real start and end time, task type, the same supporting details you would normally record, and why the task is missing. It joins the official record only after approval.
Fix a break
Use this when you returned from break and resumed work but forgot to start the next task. Enter the shift date, the part of the break that needs correction, what you were doing, and when you returned. It corrects work already done; it does not add hours that were never worked.
General request
Use this for something that is not tied to one task: a schedule concern, a rate question, or another issue that needs an administrator. Include the relevant date or pay period when it matters.
Recent History entries
Recent entries can also be edited from History for up to seven days. Once an entry is older than seven days, it is locked and the correction goes through Requests.
IV
Act IV
Knowing where you stand
Today
This is the live view while you work. It shows the task currently running, today’s accumulated work time, your current-week total, and the Finish task control when a task is active.
History
Choose a pay period to review each task’s date, start time, end time, duration, and case or facility information. Entries can be edited for up to seven days; older entries are locked and use Requests for corrections.
Earnings
Earnings turns recorded hours into a pay estimate. Review your current rate, the active pay-period total, recent period totals, and a custom date range. Until payroll is finalized, treat the amount as an estimate based on the hours currently recorded and the rate assigned to you.
One timeline
Today, History, Earnings, and Invoice all read from the same recorded timeline, so checking them regularly is the easiest way to catch something that needs attention.
V
Act V
Closing the pay period
Download your invoice
After a pay period is finished, open Invoice, choose the completed period, and select Download invoice. Your copy summarizes the tasks, facilities, notes, hours, and earnings used for that period’s payroll record.
Keeping a copy is useful if a correction is approved after you first reviewed the period.
Pay calendar
- MDS Pro uses Manila time.
- Each pay week runs Sunday through Saturday.
- A week is capped at 40 paid hours.
- Two pay weeks make one pay period.
- Payday is the Friday six days after the pay period ends.
If you have a fixed shift
The expectation is eight hours of actual work, with up to one hour of break inside your scheduled window.
The daily routine
Set up the extension once. After that: start the task you are actually doing, finish it when the work changes, add the notes your facility needs, and review the record. If an older entry needs correction, send a clear Request for review.
